Definition:
A seasonal specialty usually brewed like an Oktoberfestbier. In most locations, Festbier is timed for fall consumption, especially in the south of Germany. In some locations, however, Festbier may also be brewed as a springtime specialty, as in the Franconian city of Erlangen, where it is served during the annual Bergkirchweih celebrations in May.
