Definition:
Literary "something frozen," a term in the Franconian vernacular for Eisbock. The spelling in High German would be "Gefrorenes." According to legend, G'frorns is the original Eisbock. It is still brewed today by the Kulmbacher AG to an alcohol by volume level of approx. 10%. The first Eisbock of the season is tapped every year during a special ceremony at the town hall of Kulmbach on the last Saturday in March.
