The German Hop Processors
Cooperative (Hopfenverwertungsgenossenschaft)

The Hop Processors Cooperative (HVG) was founded in
1953. Its goal is to further the production of brewery-ready hops and hop
products of the highest quality. The HVG promotes the production and use
of natural, chemically unaltered hops only.
Hops is a natural product, which varies from one growing
year to the next, mostly depending on the amount of snow accumulation, sunshine
and rainfall. In its research laboratory and brewery, the HVG analyses the
results of each harvest year and publishes these for brewery customers throught
the world.
